NANOWRIMO stands for National Novel Writing Month. It was started to give all those aspiring writers a month of motivation to finally put their pens to the paper. It is an incredible organization and is divided into regions so that you can hook up with local participants for write-ins and other fun motivational events. The goal is to write 50,000 words in a month. But no matter what you write, you've accomplished something amazing. You've started that longing to write a book. I know that there are some aspiring writers out there as well as readers.

My goal this year is to raise money for the organization as well as get 50,000 words in. If I raise $300.00 I can participate in an event that's called A Night of Writing Dangerously where writers get together in San Francisco and right until midnight. The event lasts until midnight and is sponsored by some of the great sponsors that support NANOWRIMO. If you check out their site you can also see that there is a special NANOWRIMO for youths. This is a great cause and I hope you will donate. Even a dollar counts. All proceeds help the organization. I am setting up a PayPal account to receive donations that will go directly to NANOWRIMO no matter if I reach my goal or not. If you donate through my website I will send you the first three chapters of a new series. I'm really excited about this series and plan on finishing it through NANOWRIMO as well as starting the next book. The event is November 19th but space runs out. Donate to a great cause and join us in writing this month. I will friend you if you join and we can encourage each other. Thanks ~ Jessica
